It’s another color challenge for the Pals Paper Arts. The colors in this challenge create such a great effect and were surprisingly easy to work with. Here they are…..
This color combo lends itself to so many types of cards. A feminine or masculine card would work as well as a gender neutral card, which is what my project is today.
I used the triple stamping method for the style of this card. I cannot believe with all the beautiful samples of this style out there that this is the first time I tried it….it will not be the last, though. Super easy but packs a punch! Early Expresso is the card base with Very Vanilla used for the stamped areas. This is a standard A-2 card . The Very Vanilla cardstock is trimmed to 5 3/8″, 4 3/8″ & 3 3/8″. The Early Expresso frames measure 4 1/2″ & 3 1/2″. There are many ways you could line the layers up. Some samples I’ve seen have them starting in the left hand corner, which creates a totally different look. I did try several before just going with the center position.
There are many tutorials out there showing how this stamping method is done. I used the leaves from the Kinda Eclectic stamp set for the background stamping. The sentiment, from the Oh My Goodies! stamp set is stamped in Marina Mist on Very Vanilla cardstock. It is cut using the Deco Labels Framelits. I also cut the same size framelit in both Sahara Sand and Early Expresso and trimmed to frame each side. The banner is a 1/4″ strip flagged on each side using the 1″ square punch. The inside sentiment is from the Lovely Amazing You stamp set. Love the sentiments and the font in this set. I have used this so often.
The envelope is lined with a pattern in Sahara Sand from the Neutrals DSP Stack. The patterns in this Designer Series Paper have been refreshed and are the best they’ve ever been. There are so many possibilities for this DSP. I usually do not use all my DSP before it retires except for this series. I almost always use this series up and sometimes must replace it. So for me, this is a real value.
Thanks so much for looking in on my project. Please stop by again soon.
Have a wonderful weekend…..hot and steamy on the East Coast…but I am not complaining!
Rosanne
Rosanne, I’ve always loved this stamping technique. I especially love how you double matted the sentiment. Beautifully done! Thanks for playing with Pals Paper Arts!
Love triple stamping cards and gender neutral is so smart! Thanks for playing along with us this week at Pals Paper Arts.
Beautiful card Rosanne! That leaf stamp is one of my very favorites, I love that you’ve featured it so prominently. Thank you for joining us this week at Pals Paper Arts!
