Pals Paper Arts challenge this week is a very versatile sketch, however, it was actually hard to decide on a design because there were so many ways you could go with this.
With the new Holiday catalog about to launch and even though I did do a pre-order, I am trying to use some sets that I have not used in a while or at all before I dig into the new stuff. The set, Hot Diggity Dog holds a special place in my heart. I will show you why at the end of this post.
I decided to turn the sketch so that my little dachshunds could walk across the card. The cardstock is Cucumber Crush and embossed with the Decorative Dots embossing folder. The DSP is from the Cherry On Top paper stack and matted on Watermelon Wonder cardstock. The stamps are from the Hot Diggity Dog stamp set and the sentiment is cut out using the Lots of Labels framelits. I find myself using these framelits a lot!
The inside sentiment is from the Remembering Your Birthday stamp set. I am drawn to sets with unique fonts and this one has them. The envelope embellishment is coordinated with the card by using the same DSP. This is such an easy way to “tie it all together”.
OK…so this is why I had to have this stamp set. This is my 16 year old dachshund, Tess. She recently turned 16, so my husband thought he should teach her to drive as he did with our three daughters. However, this is her usual position, curled up in bed with her bunny like a cinnamon bun!
Thanks so much for looking in on my card today….please stop by again soon!
