Another Pals Paper Arts Challenge is here with a sketch for us to play with.
I stayed very true to the sketch to create my card. The color palette is one I have been wanting to try for a while and this was a great opportunity to do so.
The flower from the Flower Shop stamp set was stamped with the new Basic Black Archival ink pad. This ink is fantastic. The images are always crisp and clear. This is the best black ink SU has offered yet….just my opinion! The sentiment is from the Best Thoughts stamp set, which is a Hostess set in the annual catalog. Both of these sets have a multitude of uses and are so worth having. The flowers are embellished with a small pearl in each center as well as on the sentiment. However, the Pink Pirouette Seam Binding bow takes center stage. The DSP is from the Timeless Elegance pack. This is one of those rare cards that did not require the Big Shot or any punches.
The inside was embellished with a strip of DSP and Pink Pirouette cardstock. The envelope was easily embellished on the front and back just to coordinate with the card. These little touches require minimal effort and really make a big difference.
This is a good card to have on hand for a number of different occasions. The inside can be quickly stamped for a birthday or get well card. Or you could leave it blank and just write your own note inside.
It is an absolutely beautiful summer day here in PA, so I am going to have lunch outside and enjoy it while it lasts. I hope you are having a wonderful day as well. Thanks for stopping by!
