My post today is an encouragement card for a friend who participates in the Susan G. Komen 3 Day event each year. It is held in October in Philadelphia. The participants receive letters which are sent to a PO Box and then delivered to them at the end of each day.
I think this message from the Feels Good stamp set is so inspiring and can be used for so many different reasons. I know I have used it many times. The other sentiments in this set are also just as inspiring and uplifting. I used Blushing Bride cardstock and DSP from the Subltes DSP Stack for this card. The sentiment is stamped in the new Archival Black ink and cut with the Circles Framelits. To create the banner, I used a framelit from the Lots of Labels Framelits and only ran it partially through the Big Shot to just die cut one end. The flowers were punched with the Itty Bitty Accents Punch and embellished with pearls.
I simply used the same flower punch from the Itty Bitty Accents punch pack to punch a few flowers and backed them with DSP for a little added interest to the inside of the card. This still left plenty of room to write a personal note. The envelope was also embellished with DSP.
It takes a lot of commitment throughout the year to fundraise and train for this event and I really admire my friend for her commitment to this cause. I hope this card makes her smile at the end of one of her days.
Thanks very much for looking in on my card and please come again!
