Loved (A Lot)

Happy Monday.  I hope you are keeping warm where you are.  We are finally experiencing winter here in SE Pennsylvania.  The temperature is below freezing and they are starting the throw the word “snow” around.  So I will be holed up in my craft room until spring….wouldn’t that be NICE!

Today my card is for two challenges.  It’s a Color Challenge at Pals Paper Arts and a Theme Challenge at the Global Design Project….

PPA-283-Jan14GDP019

I know that the Love theme can be all about Valentine’s Day but I decided to make my card a little more generic.  This card can be sent for any reason at all…

This card also gave me the opportunity to ink up the new Grateful Bunch stamp set.  I do love floral sets and can not seem to have enough as each set seems to be so uniquely beautiful.  This set also has a coordinating punch, which just adds to its usefulness.

I stamped the large flower in this set twice and the set of three flowers once.  The large flower needs to be hand cut and the other three fit perfectly in the punch and can be punch all at once.  The flowers were colored using Melon Mambo ink and a blender pen.   After coloring and cutting, I stacked the layer of flowers, using a dimensional in between a few of the layers.  I used a total of three dimensionals for the entire flower.  This really gives it a “POP”! The leaves are stamped in Mint Macaron and the sentiment in Basic Black.

The DSP I used is from the Pretty Petals Designer Series Paper Stack in the Annual Catalog.

I love this sentiment from the Suite Sayings stamp set in the Occasions Catalog.  I have used this set on almost every card I’ve made since I bought it.

Thanks very much for popping in on my card share today.  I hope you have a wonderful day!

  1. Really like your combo of DSP and layers of the flower! Inside the card looks great! Thanks for playing along with the Pals color challenge this week!

  2. Rosanne – I totally stacked these flowers this way on my “first draft” of this color challenge, but I couldn’t get the rest of the card to work the way you have. It’s lovely! I guess I’ll scrap my plans to use that flower since you’ve already mastered it beautifully. Thank you so much for playing along with my color challenge this week at Pals Paper Arts – I’m so glad you did.

  3. Beautiful card, both inside and out!!

  4. Oh my. This card is beautiful. I love the dimension you’ve added to the flower and the way the design carries to the inside. Lovely work. Thanks for playing with Pals Paper Arts and Global Design Project, my favorite combo 🙂

  5. I like how you can get to different DSP’s to work together. I really struggle with that. I think your card is just lovely and I love that you carried the design through to the inside of your card too. Thanks for playing at Global Design Project this week.

  6. I love your colour combo, that flower is so striking X thanks for joining us this week xx
