Playing along with the Pals Paper Arts Challenge and here is Mary Fish’s sketch for this week.
I am continuing with my Valentine card making in hopes that I will have a special something for everyone by the time the holiday rolls around. This one is probably going to my husband as he is the only “boy” I have to send a valentine to.
I do seem to have some trouble with masculine cards, maybe since we are primarily a family of girls. Daughters, nieces and great-nieces abound in my family. Although, I do have a new son-in-law but I don’t think he would want a Valentine card from his mother-in-law!
The front sentiment is from the Sheltering Tree stamp set and the inside sentiment is from Suite Sayings stamp set.
I used a die from the Treat Bag Framelits set to create a row of hearts on the inside and lined them with the DSP I used on the hearts on front. This DSP is from the Love Blossoms stack in the Occasions catalog.
The little hearts on the front of the envelope are from Hello Life stamp set. It is really great how even a set not meant for a specific holiday can be so useful when making holiday cards.
I am really under the wire to get this post in so sorry for the short and sweet. If you have any questions, please feel free to leave me a message and comment and I will be happy to answer.
Have a wonderful day,
Rosanne
What a pretty card, Rosanne! I love the color combination. The texture is perfect for a masculine Valentine. The heart border on the inside is a wonderful touch! Thanks for playing with the Sketch Team at Pals Paper Arts!
Thanks Anne.
Love the card and how you used the border punch on the inside
Thanks so much, Rick…I enjoy decorating the inside of the card and the envelope almost as much as the front.
