I had a lot of fun creating this card. It has so many of my favorite elements.
Two challenges were the inspiration for this card. First, Can You Case It #111 is a color challenge and the colors were my choice…now that’s fun! Secondly, Stamp, Paper, Ink challenge this week is a terrific sketch.
The first thing I choose was the colors and patterns. The patterns are from Graphic 45’s Home Sweet Home collection. I love the vintage feel of these papers.
The sentiment is from the Tin of Cards stamp set. I cannot tell you how many times I have used this set. The sentiments along with the font are my favorites. I then stamped the large flower from the Flower Shop stamp set and the small flowers from the Petite Petals stamp set. The large flower is colored with Cherry Cobbler ink and a blender pen and the small flowers are stamped in Crushed Curry and colored the same way. The flowers are punched with the Pansy Punch and the Petite Petals Punch. I doubled each flower and popped them up with dimensionals. I also added a black candy dot to each center. The leaves are punched with the Bird Builder Punch.
The inside is embellished with some patterned paper and a few little flowers. I left it blank for a personal note.
The front of the envelope is also stamped with a few of the flowers from the Petite Petals stamp set and the flap is decorated with some patterned paper. I think embellishing the envelope makes it much more fun to open.
I hope you enjoyed this “happy” card today and will stop back again very soon.
Take care,
Rosanne
