An Affectionately Yours Trio

What a BIG day today is…the new annual catalog is here!  This is probably the best catalog I’ve seen since my introduction to Stampin’ Up! many years ago.  I was up very early this morning (5 am early) to place my order.  I can’t wait to start creating with all the new stamps, inks, paper and dies…there are so many!

My card for today is for the Global Design Projects #038 sketch challenge…..

Today’s card share features some new products that I was able to preorder.

The card base is Crumb Cake.  The Watermelon Wonder mat is embossed with the Elegant Dots embossing folder.  Both DSP patterns are from the new Affectionately Yours Designer Series Paper.  I used the new Layering Squares Framelits to cut the sets of three squares.  This is such a complete set of  framelits which includes 19 dies, straight edged and scalloped edge.  The new catalog also has a set of Layering Circles and Layering Ovals which I will be adding to my collection soon.

You’ll notice that there is very little actual stamping on this card.  The only stamping is the banner, which is stamped in Crumb Cake with the sentiment stamped in Watermelon Wonder.  This is from the new stamp set, Thoughtful Banners, which has a coordinating punch called the Duet Banner Punch.  We all know how punches make everything easier!

The inside is embellished with a strip of cardstock and DSP and left blank to write a personal note.  The Crumb Cake envelope flap is also embellished with DSP for a little added interest.  I think decorating the envelope gives the recipient just a hint of how special the card inside is going to be!

I hope that this card gave you a little flavor of the good things to come from this catalog and that once you take it all in, you will agree that this is a WINNER!  And if that isn’t enough Stampin’ Up! is offering extra Stampin’ Rewards on individual or party orders of $350 or more.  You will receive an extra $35 to spend on these great new products.
