Today’s project share is a set of notecards using my still favorite flower stamp. The beautiful flower in the Birthday Blooms stamp set which came out in the Occasions catalog is one of those stamps that has so much life in it and can be used in so many different ways.
I am entering this project in the Stamp, Ink, Paper Challenge. The Challenge is celebrating it’s 1st Anniversary this week with a Card Makers Choice…
So I choose this set of notecards!
As mentioned above the stamp set is the Birthday Blooms set. The sentiments are also from the same set. I stamped the flowers in Basic Black Archival ink and colored them with the new In-Color markers in Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo and Sweet Sugarplum along with Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive for the leaves. The coloring was actually very relaxing. Three simple sequins finish it off.
Since the inside was going to be blank for a personal note, I just added a strip of cardstock and DSP from the In-Color Designer Series Paper Pack.
The envelope flaps are also embellished with the DSP. I should note that these cards are the 3.5 x 5 notecards and envelopes.
Sets of notecards are my favorite kind of cards to make. Usually because I am going to gift them to a friend. This is exactly what I did with a set of 6 of these. My friend Robin, also a stamper, celebrated her birthday last week and I sent these to her. That is by far the best thing about this hobby…sharing!
Thanks for looking in today and I hope that you have the opportunity to share some of your creations with others.
Take care,
Rosanne
