Hello….hope you are having a good week. We’ve been having spectacular weather lately. That is up until today. It’s a stormy day but no complaints here. My flowers and vegetable are getting a healthy watering.
To brighten the day, my card is a cheerful thank you note. This is my entry to the Paper Players #299 color challenge.
This color combination is so appropriate for the upcoming summer holidays, but I don’t send cards for those holidays and I do send most of the cards that I make. So I made a summer thank you note…
The Jar of Love bundle was the first item on my wish list when the new catalog came out. I am a Mason jar hoarder and have boxes of them. I do use some of them when I put up preserves during the summer as different fruits come in season. But I probably will never use all that I have. So this set really spoke to me and doesn’t take up as much room as the real thing.
The card base is Whisper White thick cardstock. The blue gingham paper is from My Favorite Things Gingham paper pad and the dark blue border on the sentiment is Night of Navy. The sentiment, which is from the new Mixed Borders stamp set, is stamped in Real Red ink.
The jar is stamped in Smoky Slate ink on vellum. I used the middle size jar in the collection and cut it out with the coordinating Everyday Jars framelits. To give the jar a little more definition, I sponged some Soft Sky ink all over it. The flowers are cut from the Bloomin’ Hearts thinlits and the leaves are from the Everyday Jars framelits. I used Real Red and Old Olive cardstock for the flowers and leaves. Basic Pearls were the perfect centers for these flowers.
The inside sentiment is also from the Mixed Borders stamp set. The font is so very pretty. I embellished the front of the envelope using another image from Mixed Borders. This is such a cute, as well as, useful set.
I hope this card brighten your day a bit, too!
