The Global Design Project’s challenge this week is a bold and bright color challenge….
My card for this challenge is a clean and simple notecard.
The card base is Smoky Slate with a mat of Basic Black and Whisper White. The sentiment and flower are from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set.
The flower is stamped twice in Melon Mambo. I cut the second flower to create a layered bloom and popped each layer with dimensionals. An enamel dot is added to the center. The black panel was created by adding a strip of Basic Black ribbon (retired) and then topping it with a die cut from the Flourish Thinlits.
Since this is a notecard, I left the inside blank but added the same die cut from the Flourish Thinlits.
Thanks very much for checking in on my project today.
Take care,
Rosanne
I like the clean white space that really lets your flower stand out. The die cut ‘belt’ looks good over the top of plain black. I think this is a great card!
Thanks very much, Jan!
Love the simplicity of your card! It really makes the details of your card stand out.
Thanks, Robin…sometimes simple works!
Your note card is just lovely, especially with the die cut detail beneath the flower. Thanks for joining us at Global Design Project for this colour challenge and good luck for the Guest DT pick!
Beautiful Rosanne! Love how you have used the colours – Thank you so much for playing along with this week’s Global Design Project challenge! Look forward to seeing you play along with us again.
Thank you, Kylie!
