I hope you enjoyed a wonderful summer weekend. It’s been very hot here in PA but I do love summer so you won’t hear me complaining…as long as it’s summer, I don’t care what the weather is!
Today I’m playing along with the Freshly Made Sketches challenge…..
This is such a straightforward sketch and that’s pretty much my interpretation of it.
The card base is Whisper White Thick cardstock with a mat of Sweet Sugarplum and a pattern from the Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper Pack. The ribbon is Basic Black 3/8″ satin stitched ribbon which is retired.
The stamp set is the Hostess set, Gift of Love. I’m not sure but I think the flowers are Gladiolus. I hope they are because they are one of my favorite flowers. They are stamped in Basic Black and colored with Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzazz Stampin’ Write Markers. The sentiment is cut out using the banner die from the Large Numbers framelits. I matted the image on Basic Black and Blushing Bride cardstock. A few little black sequins finish the image off.
The inside sentiment is also from the Gift of Love stamp set. The font is really so pretty. This set is very versatile and can be used for so many different occasions. This is one of the few times that I only used one stamp set for the entire card. I think I may have to challenge myself to do this more often. It will be a challenge within a challenge.
