Happy Birthday Gorgeous

Stampin Up Happy Birthday Gorgeous Birthday Card

I was so excited to receive my pre-order last week and couldn’t wait to dive in. Here’s the first card I created.  The Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set is chock full of sweet images and sentiments (32 in all ) that can be used to create cards for so many different occasions and the fonts are…well…just gorgeous!

  • I’m just so delighted with the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper.  This paper collection is absolutely beautiful and I’m loving creating with it.  You’ll definitely see me use this paper again and again.

  • The Wisteria Wonder card base is matted with a pattern from Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper.
  • The sentiment is stamped in Wisteria Wonder ink and cropped with Layering Ovals framelits.

  • The sweet little flowers are stamped in Flirty Flamingo and Peek-a-boo Peach ink.  The leaves are stamped in Old Olive ink and colored with Pear Pizzazz Stampin’ Write markers.

  • The inside sentiment is two more stamps from Happy Birthday Gorgeous.  I placed both on my block together to ensure they would line up perfectly.
  • Adding a strip of Designer Series Paper to the envelope is an easy way to tie the project together and create a total custom look.

  1. What a sweet card! I can’t wait to order the new DSP and stamp set.

  2. Pretty card, but which stamp set did you use for the back ground?

    • Thanks Katherine…the background is a pattern from the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper, not a stamp.

  3. Loved the card and I CASE it for my dtr-n-law’s birthday.
I did notice that the pattern of the Daisy Delight paper is sideways in one of your pictures. You need to be cautious with any patterned paper. Also, you did not give measurements or include all your supplies in your supply list. I had to fussy cut the flowers and leaves. I had to do a lot of research in the AC to find the die cut set for the small stamps. However, with all that said, I LOVE the card. Thanks.

    • Thank you for your comments, Cynthia. In response to some of them, I too fussy cut the flowers and leaves as there are no dies for these stamps. As far as including all the supplies in my supply list…at the time of this post, these items were not yet available in the program I use as the Catalog had not gone live yet. Despite pointing out my shortfalls on the card, I do appreciate that you liked it well enough to CASE and hope your daughter in law enjoyed it as well.

  4. Very pretty card. I just got my paper and will have to try this. Thanks!
