I really can’t seem to get enough of these sunflowers from the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper collection. They are super easy to hand snip and create such a pretty focal point on any card just like today’s birthday card.
Here’s the details
- The card base is Basic Black card stock with a Crushed Curry mat cut 1/8″ smaller and a Whisper White mat cut another 1/8″ smaller.
- Like I mentioned on my last post, I am getting a little hooked on washi tape. Today I used the Pick a Pattern washi tape from the Annual Catalog to create the geometric background lines. I used three different tapes for this card. I guess I’m late to the party where this is concerned as I never realized how easy it is to use and what a great impact it can make.
- Like the card I created HERE, I hand snipped the sunflowers from the Painted Autumn Designer Series paper collection and then glued them to some Basic Black card stock and again had snipped around to create the black border. I really like the definition it gives to the sunflowers.
- Each flower is popped with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The sentiment is from the Happy Birthday, Gorgeous stamp set.
- The inside sentiment is also from the Happy Birthday, Gorgeous stamp set.
- A little more washi tape completes the inside of the card.
- And again with the washi tape on the envelope…
I think this is the perfect late summer, early fall birthday card.
I hope you have a wonderful Monday and a great week ahead.
Take care,
Rosanne
