A Flourishing Congratulations

Happy Monday…I hope you enjoyed a wonderful weekend.  I spent the weekend with my one and only grandson, Jack and had a fantastic time with him.  I love spending time with and taking care of this sweet and always happy little guy!

Ok, so enough Grandma gushing and onto today’s card.  I cased a non-SU card that I found on Pinterest and using all Stampin’ Up! products created this Congratulations card.

I really like the classic look of black and white but love the subtle pop of color of Very Vanilla on the butterfly.

The card base is Whisper White thick card stock.  I stamped the sentiment, from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set in Basic Black Archival ink.

The next panel consists of a piece of Basic Black card stock  cut at 3 1/8″ x 5 3/8″.  I embossed a piece of Whisper White card stock which is cut 1/8″ smaller with the Layering Leaves embossing folder and glued it to the Basic Black card stock.  These two panels were then adhered to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The coordinating, Flourish Thinlits created the pretty flower and leaf design.  The butterfly was cropped from the Butterflies Thinlits and Bold Butterfly Framelits.  A few pearls on the butterfly body adds a touch of elegance.

I thought this pretty design would make the perfect wedding card.  But it could be used for almost any occasion.

The inside sentiment is also from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set, which has so many wonderful sentiments, making it one of the sets I will hold onto for a very long time and use over and over again.  The sentiment is actually two separate stamps lined up on one block and stamped at the same time.  An added image from the same set embellishes the corner.

Nothing could be easier but have such a pretty impact on the envelope than embossing the flap.  I think it’s such a beautiful way to tie the project together.
