Good Monday Morning! It’s a new week and there is no snow predicted, so maybe Spring is actually on the way. I sure hope so since Easter is less than a week away and who likes to be bundled up on Easter?!
Today I have a pretty way to give a gift card. Gift cards are the gift of choice in our family so I’m always looking for creative ways to package them. My card today is for Mother’s Day but could easily be for a birthday, thank you, etc.
I used the fabulous bundle, Blossoming Basket, which is only available as a Sale-A-Bration item. And Sale-A-Bration is almost over. It ends on Saturday, March 31st, so if this is one of the products you must have…times a tickin’. I love all the images in this set as well as the coordinating basket weave embossing folder. I can see so many possibilities with both together and separately.
My card is what I’ve seen referred to as a Stable Door Fold. It’s an A2 card but cut on the score line down to 3″ and then across to create the “half door”.
Two different patterns from Fresh Floral Designer Series Paper in Powder Pink are layered on Pear Pizzazz card stock for the outside as well as the inside.
Using a few framelits from the Layering Ovals Framelits, I cut the largest in Silver Foil, the scalloped in Pear Pizzazz card stock and the smallest in Whisper White card stock, which I embossed with the Basket Weave Embossing Folder. I glued them all directly to the front of the card. Be careful to only put glue on the bottom half.
This pretty basket was stamped in Black Memento ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends markers. I used the Brother Scan n’ Cut to cut the basket and butterfly, however I had to cut inside the handle with paper snips. The image was adhered to the ovals with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The sentiment, from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set, was cropped with the Classic Label Punch. Both the stamp set and the punch are classics in my book. Teeny Tiny Wishes has sentiments for just about every holiday and occasion. And the Classic Label Punch is the perfect size for most of the petite sentiments.
I created a pocket on the inside of the “door” with card stock and DSP to hold a gift card. Before adhering it, I notched it with the 3/4″ circle punch. You could also easily use a circle framelit for this.
The sentiment and flower image on the inside is from the Friendships Sweetest Thoughts stamp set which is available in the Occasions Catalog.
Again, I used the retired Envelope Liner Framelits to line the envelope.
Thanks so much for stopping by today and I hope you have a wonderful week!
Remember….this is the last week to take advantage of Sale-a-Bration 2018. The products offered this year are fabulous and you may never see them again. So if any of these products absolutely need to be in your collection, this is the week to place your order and get them FREE!
