Celebrating & Sharing What I Love -TTTC #045

It’s Thursday and that means a brand new Tic Tac Toe Challenge. I had the honor of creating this week’s board.  I hope you’ll find the elements creative as well as fun and will play along with us.

For my card today, I chose the first row across:  Floral, Metallic, Die Cut/Punch

I think what I’m celebrating most about this card is the fabulous new Designer Series Paper collection, Share What You Love.  I shared another card featuring a pattern from this collection HERE.  As I mentioned before, this paper is absolutely beautiful with hints of metallic in some of the patterns.  Unfortunately, the pictures really don’t convey the total beauty.  But please take my word for it…it’s stunning! You won’t even have to wait until the new Annual Catalog goes live on June 1st to order it…it will be available for purchase as part of the Share What You Love Suite on May 1st.

I’m also really pleased with the card stock colors that this collection coordinates with.  Tranquil Tide was not a color I used very often, if at all.  But look how pretty it looks with this floral pattern.  And a returning favorite color, Mint Macaron is featured also.  Luckily, I still had a few pieces of it to use on today’s card.

The card base is my go-to Whisper White thick card stock.  What a difference this heavier card stock makes! It just give the card so much “heft”!  Each additional layer is cut 1/8″ smaller than the last.  The next layer is Silver foil paper, followed by Tranquil Tide card stock.  I cut a piece of Designer Series Paper at 3 7/8″ x 3 1/4″, then on the 3 1/4″ side cut it again at 1 3/4″.  This gave me two pieces measuring 3 7/8″ x 1 3/4″ and 3 7/8″ x 1 1/2″ that I positioned from the top and bottom.  I trimmed each piece with a 3 7/8″ x 1/4″ strip of Silver Foil paper in the center of the card.

Using the Big Shot along with the Precision Base Plate, I cut the celebrate from the Celebrate You thinlits.  These were a free items from the Sale-a-Bration catalog but will be available in the new Annual Catalog.  So if you missed them, you’ll be able to purchase them soon.  I use this particular thinlit a lot!  It’s cut twice  here: once in Silver Foil paper and again in Mint Macaron card stock.  The offset layering gives it a little more dimension and shadowing.

The inside sentiment, from the Happy Birthday, Gorgeous stamp set is stamped in Tranquil Tide ink.

Adding small strips of Designer Series Paper and card stock are quick and easy ways to embellish the inside of cards and outsides of envelopes.  Besides creating a very pretty card, it’s a great way to use up those little scraps.

I hope you enjoyed another little peek at this beautiful new Designer Series Paper which you’ll be able to order next week.  I also hope that you’ll head over to the Tic Tac Toe Challenge and see all the creative designs and play along with us.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful day,

Rosanne

  1. Oh So Pretty! The new DSP looks fantastic. Love the silver accents. you added. I can’t wait to get that “celebrate” die. I picked a different SAB and have not even used it yet. I should have gotten the dies. I have to start decorating the inside of my cards now. I think I have the envelopes down, but my insides are so white.
