In a few short days, it will be time to say goodbye to one of my all-time favorite stamp sets, Birthday Blooms. Technically, I won’t be saying goodbye as this one will be staying with me for a long time and may even pop up on the blog again!
The big, beautiful bloom is stamped in Versa-Mark on Blushing Bride card stock and heat embossed with white embossing powder to create the pretty background. I layered this on a Silver Foil sheet.
Using the Celebrate You thinlits, I cut the “Celebrate” out twice. Once in Silver Foil and again in Whisper White card stock and layered them with a little offset. The sentiment (from Best Birds stamp set) below it, is stamped on vellum in Versa Mark ink and heat embossed in silver embossing powder. Because it’s difficult to adhere vellum without seeing an adhesive mark, I simply wrapped the stamped vellum around the two layers of card stock and adhered it to the back. After doing this, I adhered them to the card base with dimensionals.
The inside sentiment is from Flourishing Phrases stamp set which will be carrying over in the new Annual Catalog. The sentiments in this set never get old and are so useful.
I used a long retired pattern of Designer Series Paper in Blushing Bride to create the envelope liner. This is the perfect use for retired paper that is just too pretty not to use!
I think this would be a great card to make in just about any color and especially in the bridal colors, which is what I did today. Thanks very much for stopping by today and I hope you have a wonderful holiday weekend.
Take care,
Rosanne
