Hello there! Mondays are so much more bearable when they are part of a 3-day weekend like today. I’m still working hard on creating for the couple of Craft Fairs I’m participating in but I did have a chance to create a cheerful birthday card as well.
I’m not sure if my attempt to turn the daisies from the Daisy Lane stamp set into sunflowers was successful or not. They still look more like daises to me but I think they’re still pretty and cheerful. I stamped them on Crushed Curry card stock with Crushed Curry ink and punched using the Daisy punch and the medium Daisy punch. The centers were embossed with Subtle Embossing folder and punched with retired circle punches. The leaves are actually a flower stamp from the Floral Essence stamp set. I punched them with the coordinating Perennial Flower punch. Honestly, dies are great but punches are so EASY…if there’s a set with a coordinating punch, I’m there!
I color coordinated the card using one of the new In-Colors, Rococo Rose. I haven’t really used this color and Ifound that I like it a lot! The gingham print is from the 6×6 DSP collection and the ribbon is 1/2″ Scalloped Linen Ribbon.
The sentiment is from the Beautiful Friendship stamp set and is stamped in Early Espresso ink.
I’ve listed all the products I used on today’s card below and they can all be purchased by clicking on them to go to my online store.
Thanks for stopping by today. I’ll be back on Wednesday with something new and fun…I hope you’ll come back to check it out!
Take care,
Rosanne

This card is great for fall. I love the daisies…er, sunflowers!! Using the subtle embossing folder for the centers is a very clever way of giving them texture. Enjoy your day, Rosanne.
You totally made then into sunflowers! Love the color combos and the plaid!
