A Daisy Lane Smile

Hello!  Today I’m sharing a sweet Daisy Lane smile with y’all!  I’m craving the warm spring sunshine but it’s been so cold and dreary here in Southeastern PA that I’m determined to making cheerful, springy cards. Isn’t that one of the many great things about cardmaking? That with a little creativity and some time, which most of us have now, we can cheer ourselves up with paper and stamps.  Then pass the good cheer along to those who receive our cards.  What a win/win!

I absolutely love creating with the Medium Daisy punch and have certainly used it a lot.  It’s definitely my most used punch…ever.

Materials & Measurements

• Whisper White card base: 11″ x 4 1/4″, scored at 5 1/2″
• Colored card stock – Rococo Rose, Seaside Spray, Purple Posy: 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″
• Whisper White card stock: 5 1/4″ x 4″
• Gingham DSP- 2019 – 2021 6″x6″ DSP collections: 2 1/2″ x 4″

Details

• Stamp a sentiment at the bottom of the Gingham DSP and heat embossed with black embossing powder.
• Glue the Gingham DSP from the 2019-2020 6 x 6 DSP collection to the bottom of the Whisper White panel.
• Mat the Whisper White panel directly to the colored card stock panel.
• Wrap a piece of Scalloped Linen ribbon around both layers.
• Adhere these to the Whisper White card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

• For each daisy, I punch 2 from colored card stock and 1 from the gingham DSP and glued them together.  The centers are punched with small circle punches.  I embossed a piece of scrap white card stock with the Subtle embossing folder to give the center a little texture.
• The daisies are adhered with a dimensional.
• The leaves are from the Floral Essence stamp set and stamped in Pear Pizzazz ink and punched with the Leaf punch.

• I created two friendship cards and one birthday card.  The inside sentiment for the friendship cards is from the So Sentimental stamp set.

• The sentiments for the birthday card are from the Beautiful Friendship stamp set and the Varied Vases stamp set.  I actually like the combination of fonts from both stamp sets. I’ve used the smaller sentiment, from Varied Vases a lot.  However, it’s sadly on the retirement list.
