Well today is actually an exciting day in an otherwise mundane, still isolating Wednesday. Demonstrator’s get to see the new catalog and along with that, we’ll also see what products are retiring. I always have mixed feelings about the retirement list. While I love seeing all the new products, there are many favorites that will be going away. Then there are the products that will retire which I feel that I didn’t use enough. But I know new favorites are waiting. So until the new catalog and retirement list reveal later today, I’ll show you a project highlighting the absolute sure to retire 2018-2020 In-Colors: Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch, Call Me Clover, Lovely Lipstick and Blueberry Bushel.
I love gifting card sets, so I like to have several on hand. Today, I created a Thank You card set featuring the In-Colors and the Daisy Lane stamp set….
Materials & Measurements
- The card base is a Whisper White Note Card: 5″ x 3 1/2″
- The colored cardstock layer: 4 7/8″ x 3 3/8″
- The Whisper White cardstock: 4 5/8″ x 3 1/8″
Details
- Glue the colored cardstock to the card base.
- Emboss the Whisper White panel using the Subtle Embossing Folder.
- Punch the large daisy with the Daisy Punch on the left side of the embossed panel.
- Cut a piece of DSP and glue to the back of the punched daisy.
- Glue to the colored cardstock .
- Stamp the small daisy 2x in each color and layer to create the center flower.
- I used small circle punches to create the flower center.
- These are popped on with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The sentiment, from the Well Said stamp set, is stamped in Momento Tuxedo Black ink and cut using an oval from the Stitched Shapes dies. It’s layered with a scalloped oval from the Layering Ovals dies.
- I coordinated each envelope using a 3/4″ strip of DSP and 1/4″ strip of cardstock.
- Since I plan on giving this set away, I boxed the cards in a clear card box and decorated the front much like the cards inside. I added the 1/8″ Grosgrain ribbon and a few enamel dots as embellishments. I adhered this panel directly to the front of the box with Tear & Tape adhesive.
- These are the clear boxes I used HERE.
While this set makes a sweet little gift, they’re also great little notes to have on hand for yourself. I plan on making a few more sets using other color combinations soon.
