Happy Friday! Even though each day is much like to the day before now, Friday’s definitely still have a “feel”! I hope you’re looking forward to the weekend. Our weekend, whether it be Saturday or Sunday, has been the highlight of our week since we’ve been staying home. We go to see our almost 3 year old grandson, Jack. He lives about an hour away in Lancaster, PA and it’s a really lovely drive. We stay for about 2 hours and visit outside only where we can stay a safe distance away and just watch him run around and play. It’s very hard not to be able to be very close and even harder when we’re leaving and he runs up to us to give us a hug and kiss and we have to tell him just to blow a kiss…that’s the worst part! It’s funny how this situation has us appreciating things so much more.
I have another project to share with you featuring the Botanical Prints Product Medley. In yesterday’s post, I mentioned that I’ve been so inspired by this kit and have been creating a lot with it. You can see that post HERE. I also mentioned that I’ve been making some note card sets to give away. This is one of those sets: a set of 6 thank you notes (2 more notes are included but use the same elements as pictured) with a coordinating box.
These notecards and box are one of the tutorials I’m sharing with a purchase of the Botanical Prints Product Medley along with 2 more tutorials featuring this set. The box is a perfect fit for a set of 5 or 6 note cards and envelopes and comes together super easy.
Creating the coordinating box was really fun and easy using some leftover elements from the kit. This box is definitely a keeper as it’s the perfect size and quite sturdy. The note cards fit in nicely and the lid fits over the bottom of the box quite snugly so it’s doesn’t come loose when picking up the box. I’ve tried several different measurements to get just the right fit…and this is it! Here you can see how the cards fit…
I love to create packaging for cards and gifts. I think these make a very nice and useful handmade gift, especially now when everyone is finding it difficult to get out and about.
