I’m going to squeeze in one more card created with a Memories & More Card Pack. Today’s card features the Come Sail Away Memories & More Card Pack. In my previous post HERE, I mentioned how much I like these card packs that are, in my opinion, mostly overlooked and hidden deep in each catalog. They’re always chock full of awesome card fronts in various sizes as well as so many coordinating embellishments. The cards practically make themselves using these packs!
I created a Father’s Day card that’s actually a “card on a card” as the front card is a gift card holder. I guess you could consider this a fun fold.
Materials & Measurements
Card Base
- Crumb Cake card base: 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″, scored at 4 1/4″
- Mossy Meadow card stock: 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″
- Card Pack card front: 5 1/4″ x 4″
- Mossy Meadow card stock: 5 1/4″ x 4″ (inside)
- Very Vanilla card stock: 5″ x 3 3/4″ (inside)
Gift Card Holder
- Crumb Cake card stock: 6 1/2″ x 4 1/4″, score at 3 1/4″
- Mossy Meadow card stock: 4 1/8″ x 3 1/8″
- Card Pack card front: 4″ x 3″
- Mossy Meadow card stock: 4″ x 2″ (inside pocket)
- Come Sail Away DSP: 3 7/8″ x 1 7/8″
Details
- Layer the larger card front and Mossy Meadow card stock to the card front.
- For the gift card holder, glue the Crumb Cake card to the larger card front.
- Glue the small card front to the Mossy Meadow panel.
- Adhere these to the small card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals
- Create the gift card pocket and adhere with Tear & Tape on the sides and bottom
- The sentiment and anchor are stickers included in the Memories & More Card Pack.
- I combined two sentiments from a new stamp set available in the upcoming Annual Catalog called Many Mates. This set has a variety of simple sentiments for many different occasions.
- The rope trim at the bottom and the banner in the top corner are also stickers from the card pack.
- The envelope is embellished with a strip of DSP and card stock for a nice finishing touch.
