Hello, welcome to the Stampin’ Pretty Pals’ Blog Hop! This month our theme is the “new 2020-2022 In Colors.” The Design Team is showcasing the new family of In Colors from the new catalog. We know you will love them as much as we do! At the end of my post, you will find the full line-up below to help you “hop” along from Pal to Pal.

Let me tell you how much fun I had creating today’s card!  This card combines so many favorite new products as well as my all-time favorite technique…paper piecing.

My favorite new products featured on this card….

  • Blossoms in Bloom Bundle:  I stamped the sentiment from the Blossoms in Bloom stamp set and used the Many Layered Blossoms dies to create the pretty dimensional flowers.
  •  Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder:  This created the subtly detailed Misty Moonlight background for the flowers.
  • 2020-2022 In-Colors:  These colors are so different yet worked so well together to create this floral spray.
  • 2020-2022 In-Color Enamel Dots:  Enamel shapes or dots are a must have for me as they usually add just the right finishing touch to a card.  And when you have a coordinating color set, it’s even better!

Now for the paper piecing…

  • The Many Layered Blossoms die has two large flower dies that can be used alone or combined to make a more detailed image.  It also has four small flower dies, which I didn’t use on today’s card.

  • I first cut the outline in Cinnamon Cider card stock and glued it to the Misty Moonlight card stock which was embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.
  • Then I used the more detailed die and cut it three more times, using Just Jade, Bumble Bee and Magenta Madness card stock.  And literally pieced them together like a puzzle.  I’m not sure why this technique is so relaxing for me, but it is and I’m always looking for opportunities to use it.
  • The sentiment is stamped on Bumble Bee card stock and heat embossed.
  • Lastly, a few Just Jade enamel dots are scattered around the card.
