Flowers for Every Season (?) Masculine Card

Stampin Up Flowers for Every Season Masculine card idea - Rosanne Mulhern stampinup

I’ve put an unexpected twist on the Flowers for Every Season 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper today.  I need to make a congratulations card for my Son-in-Law, Mike, who just received a big job promotion.  I knew I wanted to make him a shirt & tie card like the ones I made HERE.  Since I’ve only bought a select few of the new DSP collections, I wasn’t sure if there would be a suitable pattern for a man’s shirt.  Well Flowers for Every Season DSP had the perfect one…who would’ve thought that a basically floral collection would work?  This collection has a few non-floral patterns that, of course, coordinate with the florals but work well on their own.

  • I followed the directions HERE.  I found these directions very easy to follow.
  • The only change I made to the directions was with the tie.  I just cut a piece of DSP into a tie shape. I found this much easier than folding it according to the tutorial.
  • I added two Cinnamon Cider enamel dots to the collar.
  • Add a few mini glue dots underneath the collar to keep it down.
  • The pocket and handkerchief are hand cut.

  • The inside sentiment is from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamps set.

Here’s a look at the other shirt cards I made, ironically one was for my other Son-in-Law, James.  All the details for these cards are HERE

This tutorial really came in handy.  It would also work well as a Father’s Day or masculine birthday card.  I know I’ll probably revisit this design again sometime, so I’m happy to have it in my library.
