While it’s still officially summer and sunflower season, I’m sharing a sweet little gift that I tucked in with my thank you notes to customers for ordering during August.
These little note pad holders are one of my favorite 3D items to create. There are so many different versions out there and I’ve tried a few. Today’s holders are the simplest to construct.
Materials & Measurements
- Bumble Bee card stock: 3 1/4″ x 7″, scored at 3 1/4″ & 3 5/8*
- **note** the score lines depend on the thickness of the post-it note pad
- Cinnamon Cider card stock: 3 1/8″ x 3 1/8″, cut 2
- Whisper White card stock: 3″ x 3″, cut 2
Details:
- Stamp one of the 3″ x 3″ squares of Whisper White card stock using the Buffalo Check stamp pad in Cinnamon Cider ink.
- Glue the stamped square to one of the Cinnamon Cider card stock squares and glue to the front of the holder.
- Stamp 2 of the small sunflowers from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set in black ink and heat emboss with clear embossing powder. This is totally optional as just stamping in black would work just as well.
- Color the flowers. I used Stampin’ Blends to color mine.
- Using the Sunflower dies, cut the flowers and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Stamp the sentiment, from the Butterfly Gala stamp set in Early Espresso ink and hand cut.
- Glue cut sentiment to a piece of Cinnamon Cider card stock and cut around to create a mat.
- Adhere the sentiment with mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- To decorate the inside, I stamped another sunflower onto the other Whisper White square and colored it. You could easily add another sentiment to the inside.
- The glued this to the Cinnamon Cider square and glued them both to the inside front cover.
- Lastly, I glued the note pad using Tear & Tape. Isn’t the paper a perfect sunflower color?!
If you haven’t tried these note holders, I urge you to give them a try. I like to find different color note pads and match them to the card stock or DSP. I find most of my notes at dollar stores, so they’re also very economical to make. I’ll be making more for an upcoming craft fair in October.

Very cute.
Thanks, Shila!
These are great, Rosanne! Would love to make the bottom one with the intricate sunflower die. When I click on the link to the details, all that shows is an enlarged picture of the project. Are the directions/measurements posted elsewhere?
