Happy Friday! I’m sharing a birthday card using Honey Bee’s Coneflower dies. Again, I’ve had these dies for a few months and now I’m wondering why it took me so long to create with them. They are awesome!
My card colors are inspired by this week’s color challenge at the The Paper Players…
After cutting the components of the coneflowers from Pale Papaya card stock, I sponged them with Pumpkin Pie ink for some added dimension. The flower centers were cut from Early Espresso card stock. The leaves are cut from Garden Green card stock and sponged with the same ink.
The sentiment is stamped from Stampin’ Up!’s Best Year stamp set. I cropped and layered it using the SU Laying Ovals (retired) dies. The plaid patterned background is from the DCWV Falling Leaves 6 x 6 stack.
The inside sentiment is also from the Best Year stamp set.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have an enjoyable weekend.
Take care.
Rosanne
GOR-GEOUS! I have seen these cornflower dies and fell just short of ordering them! I may have to reconsider…. As always, your composition is spectacular, Rosanne!
Thank you, Karen. I’m excited to use this die set more.
So pretty! I love how full your cone flowers look and the sponging really brings them to life! The little clear gems are just like dewdrops on a cool fall morning! Thanks for looking! Did you stamp today?
