Classic Christmas Wreath – Guest Designer @ Tic Tac Toe Challenge #189

 

Before I jump into my post here, I’d like to wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving.  I hope that you are feeling blessed today and enjoying this special holiday.

Today’s post is pretty special to me.  I’m the guest designer for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge #189.  If you’ve been following me, you know that I play along with this challenge as much as I can.  I love combining the elements of the challenge board to come up with a card.  Needless to say, I had a great time with this week’s board…

I created a fun fold Christmas Card with a classic feel…

I chose to go two different ways.  First column down:  December/Holiday, Twine/Ribbon, Patterned Paper and first row across:  December/Holiday, Use a Die, Embellishment

I absolutely love creating paper wreaths.  This one is created using SU’s Arrange a Wreath (retired) and MFT’s Sunflower Wreath dies. The banner was created with SU’s Toile Christmas stamp set and Cardinal Dies (both retired).  I heat embossed it with gold embossing powder.  And here’s how it opens…

Here’s a peek inside…I added a few strips of coordinating paper to give the inside some interest.  I think it’s always a nice little surprise when the inside is embellished a bit.

Measurements

1.    Crumb Cake card base:  4 1/4″ x 11″, scored @ 3 1/2″ & 2″

2.    Red Foil panel:  3 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ & 1 7/8″ x 4 1/8″ (front) & 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ (inside)

3.    Patterned paper:    3 1/4″ x 4″ & 1 3/4 x 4″

4.    Very Vanilla card stock:  5 1/8″ x 3 7/8″ (inside)
