It’s been a couple of dreary and wet days here. Thus, I have a couple of rainy day cards that I hope are cheerful rather than dreary! I think the Rain or Shine Designer Series paper is absolutely adorable and I’m having a great time creating cards with just the DSP. In hindsight, I wish I would have ordered the bundle. If it carries over in the new annual catalog, it will be on my wish list for sure. But the DSP will be going away at the end of the mini catalog sales period on May 1st. However, I think there are so many fun ways to create with the DSP, especially if you don’t mind hand cutting, which I find pretty relaxing.
Materials & Measurments
- Gray Granite card base: cut at 11″ x 4 1/4″, scored at 5 1/2″
- Basic White card stock: cut at 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″
- Rain or Shine DSP: cut at 5 1/4″ x 4″
- Balmy Blue card stock: cut at 5 1/4″ x 4″ (inside)
- Basic White card stock: cut 5″ x 3 3/4″ (inside)
Details
- Layer the Basic White panel to the card front.
- Cut a Balmy Blue scalloped circle and white straight edge circle using the Layering Circles dies.
- Adhere to the bottom left side of the card, leaving one side over the edge of the DSP panel. Trim this edge before gluing to the white panel.
- Next, cut the images from the Rain or Shine Designer Series Paper to create the scene. The bunny image is popped with dimensional.
- The sentiment is from the Pansy Patch stamp set. I only stamped a portion of it to fit on the card.
- The raindrop embellishments are from my stash.
- The inside sentiment is also from the Pansy Patch stamp set.
Here’s another card that was inspired by our rainy days…
I hope your days are sunny and bright but if not, why not create some cute rainy day cards!
Thanks for stopping in today and have a wonderful weekend!
Take care,
Rosanne
