Continuing with my new weekly theme series, I’m introducing What’s New Wednesday. Each Wednesday, I’ll be introducing something that is new to me. That may be a new product, new technique, new color, etc. This month is certainly full of “new” with the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog debut.
Today’s card features the new Cheerful Daisies Suite that’s now available.
To be honest with you, I was a bit challenged by this bundle. It was not exactly what I thought it would be but I know the more I create with it, the more it’s going to grow on me. I’m definitely going to challenge myself to come up with more projects using these products.
Here’s the details…
Cut & Measure
- Moody Mauve card base: 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″, score at 4 1/4″
- Fresh as a Daisy DSP floral pattern: 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″
- Fresh as a Daisy DSP solid pattern: cut with Scalloped Contours die
- Basic White card stock: cut with Scalloped Contours die and 5 1/4″ x 4″ (inside)
Assemble
- Glue the floral DSP to the card base.
- Adhere the scalloped solid DSP to the card base with dimensionals.
- Stamp the sentiment, from the Cheerful Daisies stamp set, onto the white scallop panel.
- Glue to the card front.
- Die cut the daisies.
- Add color to the flowers using Blending Brushes: Bubble Bath ink for the flowers, Copper Clay for the centers and Wild Wheat ink for the leaves.
- Glue to the card.
- Add a few enamel dots.
OK…so after creating this card and writing this post, I’m much more “cheerful” about these daisies! I’d love to know what you think of them and if you have or are going to give them a try.
Thanks for looking in on my project today. I’ll be back tomorrow for the Tic Tac Toe Challenge…I hope you’ll join me!
Take care,
Rosanne

I can understand your challenge, Rosanne. I love the daisy stamps and dies, but the paper will have to grow on me. I love your beautiful card using the new Moody Mauve. Great job! Enjoy your day!
Thank you, Hilda.
So soft and serene! Such a pretty card! I’m looking forward to “What’s new Wednesdays”.
