Today’s project was inspired by our recent vacation at the beach, as well as, my friend, Jeanie’s fun Tic Tac Toe Challenge board HERE
I chose to use the third row across: Patterned Paper, Summer, Anything but a Card. I could also go along the left diagonal: Layers, Die Cut, Anything but a Card.
I created these beach bag treat holders using a die I purchased years ago at a Stamp Show…if you’ve been stamping for a while, you’ll remember that these shows would come around about once a year and feature many different stamp companies. I loved going to them when they were in my area and purchased many products that are no longer available because a lot of the companies are no longer in business. However, some of the products were very unique and fun, especially this “tote” bag die.
While going through my paper stash looking for beach or summer themed patterns, I came across the Graphic 45 paper collection: By the Sea. Graphic 45 is one of my favorite companies to purchase patterned paper from as their designs are so creative and unique. I made the tassels using embroidery thread and added a charm to each. When we were on vacation, I bought some salt water taffy that was just perfect to fill the bags with.
Here’s a close up of each bag…
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you’ll head over to the Tic Tac Toe Challenge and see what my fellow teammates came up with. Also, we would love it if you would share a project with us this week.
Take care,
Rosanne
What wonderful little beach bags you created Rosanne. The papers you chose are perfect for your summer theme! Thanks for having me as Guest DT this week at Tic Tac Toe! Julia xx
I love these tote bags! Such a cute design! I may have to make some of these next time we get together. I love 3D projects!
These bags are adorable, Rosanne. Love the beachy theme! Enjoy your
day!
Really cute and unique little tote bags. I wish the die was still available today as they would be great little gift bags.
These little beach bags are tote-ally awesome! And with the salt water taffy…perfect! I do remember those craft shows! They were so much fun!
These bags are absolutely wonderful. I LOVE me a good beach bag, and I would be thrilled to carry my beach gear in any of these!
These are fabulous! And I just love that patterned paper!
