Happy mid-week! I hope you had a fun and festive 4th of July. It always seems to me that the 4th is the mid-point of summer and it’s downhill from here. Even the stores are putting Back to School supplies out, so it must be true..lol! However, let my card today remind us that we still have a lot of beach time left to summer.
I’m playing along with the Paper Players Theme Challenge #647 HERE
At the beginning of each season, I pull out all of that season’s stamps and dies. This way I can be reminded to use them. Which is exactly what I did to create today’s card as I used several different sets to create this card. I started by ink blending a 5″ x 3 3/4″ piece of white card stock to create a sky and sun background. Then using Hello Bluebird’s Ocean Scene Builder dies, I cut the sand and the waves. After ink blending the sand, I sprinkled it with a little glitter. Then I cut three of the largest of the Stitched Rectangle Frames from My Favorite Things and glued them to the “beach” before gluing to the Coastal Cabana card base. Next came the really fun part…creating the “scene”. I stamped and colored images from Sunny Studio’s Beach Buddies and Hello Bluebird’s Seaside Girls stamps and cut them with the coordinating dies. The sentiment is from SS’s Beach Buddies stamp set.
Thanks for stopping by today.
Take care,
Rosanne
Great card for LeAnne’s challenge, Rosanne! I love all of the layers and little sea creatures and beach necessities overlapping the frame. Thank you for playing along with us at The Paper Players.
Xoxo, Fran
I LOVE your little beach scene…you got all the sand, sea and sky just perfect, and that little beach bag..SO CUTE! So are the crabs, LOL! My father-in-law used to say that summer was almost over when the 4th of July hit, too….no way! Lots of summer left to enjoy the beach! Thanks for sharing this with us at the Players this week, using my Beachy theme!
Love this fun card! I love all the pretty details!
