Welcome to another Tic Tac Toe Thursday! I had the opportunity to create this week’s challenge board…I hope it will inspire you to play along with us!
…And here’s my card. I chose the third row across: Red, Flocking, Embossing
With the holidays in full swing, I created a pretty card with lots of dimension and texture. I used mostly retired SU products starting with the beautifully flocked Plush Poinsettia DSP. This paper is too pretty not to use simply because it’s retired! The flowers were die cut using the Poinsettia die in White Velvet paper and lightly ink blended with Poppy Parade ink. The leaves were cut with Soft Sea Foam cardstock and lightly inked with the Soft Sea Foam ink. The sentiment is from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set and is heat embossed in silver.
While I was at it, I decided to make another card using Petal Pink ink for a more soft and subtle look. I like them both equally. Is there one you prefer over the other?
Please head over to the Tic Tac Toe Challenge to see what my Teammates on Team O have created.
Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a wonderful rest of the week.
Take care,
Rosanne
Love both your cards! And you are correct, the White Velvet is too pretty to be retired.
Thanks very much, Bette!
Beautiful cards.
Thank you, Shila!
Gorgeous cards, Rosanne! When I first saw the red poinsettia card, I thought my cardstock doesn’t look like that!! I was right. It is white velvet paper! So creative and stunning! Great job! I have my 110 cards made for this year, so this will be one design I will use for next Christmas. Thanks so much. Enjoy your day!
Thank you, Hilda! Wow 110 handmade cards is very impressive!
Both cards are gorgeous. I like the Poppy Parade one the most. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you, JoAnn!

WOW! Love both these cards! You always add all the little details that make your cards extra special!
LOVE your cards—could you tell the name of the retired Stampin’Up stamp set your Poinsettia die is from?
Thank You
The stamp set is called Poinsettia Petals and the dies are called Poinsettia dies.
So very gorgeous both of them <3
Thank you, Lyn
