Rain or Shine Encouragement Card – Paper Player #679

Stampin Up Rain or Shine Encourgement Card - Rosanne Mulhern Heartfelt Stamping

My card today is reflective of our weather this week.  But unlike the weather, it made me smile! It features the retired SU DSP:  Rain or Shine.  I cut a piece of this patterned paper for the card front then cut the matching umbrellas and adhered them using dimensionals to create a lot of dimension.  Full disclosure…I used the Brother Scan n Cut to cut the umbrellas.  The sentiment is from Spellbinders Cute Boots stamp set. And just for fun, I added some raindrop embellishments.

  1. Such a cute cute card
We had rain in Phoenix today – perfect timing!

    Who makes the raindrop embellishments?

  2. Love it!

  3. I was about to commend the tremendous amount of fussy cutting Rosanne – then I read your post! Shortcuts aside, I love this little decoupage of floating umbrellas – perfect for our theme! Thanks for playing with us over at The Paper Players this week!

  4. Rosanne, this is so FUN! I love all the umbrellas! I think this is so clever how you cut all of those out. I have that machine and I can never get it to work. I need a lesson! This card is perfect for my challenge this week at the Paper Players! Thanks for joining us!

This is perfect for a rainy day. Thanks for playing along with The Paper Players.

  6. This is ADORABLE! I am glad you used some technology to cut out all those umbrellas, though! But the little details make this card really stand out…the raindrops are the best. More of that to come tomorrow, right?! Thanks for sharing this with us at the Paper Players!

  7. Oh my goodness, is this ever cute! Love all of those umbrellas and I think you may have convinced me that I need to invest in a Scan n Cut. So cool! Thanks so much for joining us this week over at The Paper Players.

ROSANNE! I love this card!! Where did you buy your scan and cut machine from and how much should I expect to spend ?

    • Thanks, Lorie! I’ve had my scan n cut for at least 8 or 9 years and bought it from QVC. Mine is certainly not the latest or greatest but it does what I need it to.

  9. Love your card, such great detail! Great job! TFS!
